Each year the program
organizes a series of extracurricular talks, visits and events related to
different aspects of Spanish and Latin American culture and society past and
present. These include lectures from young researchers and leading academics, theatre
shows, curator-guided tours of museum exhibits, a visit to the campus of the Universidad
Autónoma de Madrid and to one of the city’s bilingual public schools, as well
as an ever popular introduction to the art of wine-tasting.
Attendance at all these events is optional but,
of course, highly recommended.
